Stableford

Thanks to the 10 gents for this morning's welcome back to the Wednesday Gentlemen's stableford competition. We were joined by current 27 hole A grade champion, Patrick Doyle and it was only appropriate that he and the current 27 hole B grade champion should share a cart.
An interesting spread of scores with winner Mike Hoiles' (15) 41 points the standout, from runner-up Patrick Doyle's (8) 38.
Pete Sinclair (9) 37 points and the Walrus (12) 36 points were also ball comp recipients. Walrus took the nearest the pin with a 'toot toot' chip in on the 8th.
Two major highlights for the round were Patrick's eagle three on the par five 9th hole and Terry Penney achieving a Personal Best 31 points.
Other results:
Oils Flannery (21) 34 points, Pierre Watson (24) 31, Graham Bonsack (19) 30, Nifty Clark (19) 27 while the dishes were attended to by Gregg Kennedy (19) 26 points.

Next Wednesday's competition is Stableford, while this Saturday is a par event.

Reminder that the Gold Plate team event is on 30th November (just a fortnight away). This is a major Stableford event requiring teams of four who each play their individual stableford round with the best three scores combining to determine the overall score.
There will be the usual two start times.
If you are unable to secure a team of 4 please contact Captain Richard Payne or myself with your numbers and names and a team will be compiled.
Application forms will be in the clubhouse on Saturday.
